Avaya Asa 6 Quick Command Guide

ASA (Avaya Site Administration) can use telnet or ssh and has terminal emulation that's compatible with CM admistration SAT terminal interface. Putty can be downloaded for free from the internet and can be used to connect to CM administration SAT terminal interface. I would like to confirm. If my Communication manager IP is 192.168.1.2. Then I use putty ssh to connect with 192.168.1.2 after I login with CM account I can type command at once? List vector, change vector, etc?) Or any command I need to type first to open the ASA? To connect to SAT you can also use CLAN address and port that is defined in CM 'change / display ip-services' and look for SAT ports for each CLAN.

ASA uses 4410 or 4425 and putty terminal type I use 'sunt' Just make sure the putty window is at least 25 lines tall so you can see the function keys. The function keys will work even if the 25 line of the terminal emulator does not show the labels for them.

Thanks so much! But I would like to know. 1) where could I set 'sunt' in putty? 2) is that mean I also connect with CM by port '22' in putty if I want to type command for CM administration such as change vector? Keep in mind that the F keys will not work when using this. Instead, you will see at the bottom of the screen ESC-x=Cancel Esc-e=Submit etc. So if you want to submit, instead of pressing F3 like you are used to, press escape, then e. Regards, Jooquase.

Hi All, I've been exporting lists through GEDI every month or so for a couple of years and I'm trying to somewhat automate it. I'm able to import each of my.txt files in Excel with a quick script placing them in neet columns and what not. The problem is that when I use ASA's advanced - Report feature on list commands, all of the columns are messed up.

Is there any way to have the headers display or know which list command ends up with what column order compared to actualy doing a list in the SAT? Thanks, Jooquase.
