Noritsu Manual
It seems your keyboard is defective if it does not react to the pressure by fingers. It happens on so old labs. Replace the keyboard if required. About the cutter motor abnormal - I did not find such error code in the service or troubleshooting manuals. The motor located in the film loading section and responsible for cutting of the film when it pulled out. Try to revise the motor itself for cleanness and clean it and area around the motor if required. Also check all connectors and sensors (pressure and film) for working condition.

Some of them may be clogged and motor does not cut the film so it generates the error. Please do it all on turned off lab. Frankly speaking: Better to call out the service engineer who knows what to do and has all manuals. Your non-professional actions may lead to the sad final: or you might be injured or the lab will be dead. Mercuryin, hi. Your problems may also be more associated with a mechanical malfunction due to normal wear, rather than opto-sensor if replacing them that doesn't resolve the issue. Have a look at the diagram below. Replacing these two hi-lighted items are something you should not discount, as over time their function is mechanically compromised.
Sort of works like a 'mouse trap' when the cutter is tripped, the the motor rotates to reset the mechanism. When worn it over-travels, or just through vibration of the adjacent cutter operating. I've had to replace quite a few of these components. I just check the opto.sensors and both left and right sides are working 100% fine. The motor home one and the knife blade one. The motor on the left is broken, right is working fine. I have tried disconnecting the left motor and turn it so that the flag closed an optosensor, ( home position ) and the same with the knife blade and it optonsensor.
It’s a form of advertising, really. Mf 275 service manual. When you look at the pictures in the brochures, they are all meant to make that particular tractor model look attractive.
Both sensors are indicating closed. I tried with the knife blade lifted up and motor in home position and I have the same problem. When I turn on the V30, the system try to initialize both motors, the right works fine but when detect something in the left one, ( it´s broken ) the system show me error cutter operation error and cutter return error. Anyone knows how can I work with just one motor disabling any system error message?
The software for these old machines comes on EEProms, Chips on the main PCBs that have the data burned on. They have white labels (do not remove) that state the version letter A,B,C etc. If its working leave it alone, if you need to change a PCB with a chip on it, remove it carefully and refit it to the new PCB.
Its not hard but take care with orientation and normal anti static precautions. If its lost memory its likely to be the battery that holds your settings, print size, lens, paper feed etc.
They say they last 3 years but I have known them last a lot longer.
